Data collection
Visto does not collect personal data. The app does not send personal data to Pedro Lanhoso or to any Visto-controlled service, and it does not track you across apps or websites.
There is no Visto server backend. There are no Visto accounts, subscriptions, social profiles, analytics events, advertising identifiers, or remote activity logs.
Your watch archive
The shows, films, episodes, dates, ratings, reviews, watchlist entries, settings, and cached metadata you add to Visto are stored locally on your device.
Visto does not send this archive to Pedro Lanhoso or to any Visto-controlled service.
Optional cloud sync
On Apple devices, if you choose to enable iCloud sync, Visto stores app data in your own private iCloud database using Apple's CloudKit service. This sync is governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy.
On Android, if you choose to enable Google Drive sync, Visto requests access only to its hidden app-data folder in your Google Drive. It stores Visto archive journals there so your devices can synchronize. Visto may store the selected Google account email locally on your device so it can reconnect to the same account. This sync is governed by Google's terms and privacy policy.
Cloud sync is optional. Pedro Lanhoso does not operate iCloud or Google Drive and does not receive or have access to your private cloud archive.
TMDB search
Visto can search The Movie Database, TMDB, so you can find shows and films to file. TMDB access uses an API key configured for the app build or added in Visto's settings.
When you search or ask Visto for a media fact, the search text is sent to TMDB. Your local watch history, ratings, reviews, watchlist, and cloud archive are not sent to TMDB by Visto. TMDB's handling of search requests is governed by TMDB's own privacy policy at themoviedb.org/privacy-policy.
This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
JSON export
Visto can create a JSON export of your archive locally on your device. The export is shared only when you explicitly choose to save or send it through your device's system sharing controls.
This website
The website at visto.pedrolanhoso.com is a static website. It uses no cookies, no analytics, and no tracking scripts.
Children's privacy
Visto does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
